Although most of the Sudan Link’s energies go into prayer and episcopal support, we are still very proud of our parish-based projects.  It is in the personal giving through these projects that the true nature of the Sudan Link is personified.

The Women’s Education Program - a project ran by Rev'd Samuel Peni, currently being funded by The Pewsey & Swanborough Team.
Juba Model Secondary School  - An amazing project from a Salisbury parish

Grace Secondary School  - Richard and Claire Budd are raising funds to build a secondary school in Kadugli Diocese.

Parish projects can take almost any form, as the example below displays:

St. Katharine’s Church in Holt has had a relationship with the Diocese of Juba going back more than ten years.  This came about as a result of a stay in the parish of Joseph Bilal, a priest from Juba.  He brought with him various projects of which we chose the least ambitious – the establishment of a brick works, which would help with the rebuilding of church property, bring in much-needed finance and provide employment.  Since then, we have provided a grinding-mill for grain, helped the local Bible Training Institute establish itself and, more recently, paid the salaries of a number teachers in the church primary schools.  What started out as a specifically church affair, now involves the whole village.
